Eisenberg: Fond de teint

*AD - This product was gifted to me for a review

Call me an old school but I usually stick to the mainstream brands when it comes to foundations. Trying out a foundation from Eisenberg, a brand that I know only as a luxury perfume and skincare brand, was a big adventure for me. I have read a few reviews online and I got intrigued.

This foundation comes in only 8 shades and I picked shade 02 Natural Rosy, one or two shades darker than I probably should but I wear a fake tan often so it’s a foundation I wear when I pretend I just got back from Bali.

The formula is very runny and the foundation sinks into the skin creating smooth yet natural look. As with most high-end foundations, not much product is required to cover the whole face, The foundation is promising to last up to 12 hours and I would say that’s accurate.

It feels very light and the skin and given this is a foundation with SPF 25, it is ideal for summer. The coverage is light to medium but can be built up to high coverage without being too thick or cakey. I like how it looks on my skin and unlike many similar formulas, it does not dry my skin out.

This is everything I thought L’oreal’s Tinded Serum would be but isn’t. Obviously, It’s not fair to compare drugstore L’oreal to luxury brand like Eisenberg but the serum foundation from L'oreal had so many superstar reviews that I was expecting something totally mind blowing. It did not live up to my expectations but the Eisenberg’s Fond De Teint foundation absolutely did. I love it, It’s now probably one of my top5.
