KISS-PROOF LIPSTICK: THESE WON'T LET YOU DOWN

*AD - gifted

I am little ashamed that I did not try the Stay Stay Matte Ink lipsticks from Maybelline earlier.  Although I am a massive fan of any lip makeup that does stay on for the whole day, I never really felt like giving these a go. At this point, I have no idea why because these would make my former student/bar life much easier.

The first shades of the Super Stay Matte Ink Lipsticks were released at some point in 2017 if I remember correctly and since then, there were many new shades added to the permanent collection. The range is wide and everyone can find the perfect fit. I know I found mine. I am currently a proud owner of four shades: 15 Lover, 30 Romantic, 65 Seductress and 95 Visionary.

Each of the lipstick is well pigmented and the applicator is surprisingly precise. I do not need to use a lip liner with any of these and there are no patched after application. They are quite heavy on the lips, the texture is very similar to the Les Chocolats lippies from L'oreal. I personally do not mind but this is not for everyone. Although these lippies are supposed to be matte, I don't think they are... fully. Even hours after application, the lipsticks are quite glossy and feel sticky (don't get fooled, they are fully dried). They are a bit drying but as long as you use a lip balm before application, everything will be fine.

Let's move to the reason I decided to share my thoughts about these lipsticks just now before Valentine's day. I believe it is safe to say, the SuperStay Matte Ink lipsticks survive anything. Drinks, food, hours of kissing, hurricane, apocalypse... you name it. It stays on as long as you need. No smudging. That's why one of these lipsticks will be the lippie of my choice for upcoming Valentine's day (I am very aware of the fact there is nowhere to go to celebrate but I think it would be more than beneficial if I put some makeup on despite staying at home because I am sure my boyfriend thinks he is dating the witch from Brave at this point).

There may actually be an issue with removing these lipsticks at the end of the day. Even my most powerful weapons such as Emma Hardie's Moringa Balm struggled to get these lipsticks off my face. However, one of my beloved followers gave me great advice - apply several layers of any lip balm, leave it on for a minute or two and then remove with a damp cloth. The lipstick will then come off easily.

As you can tell, I am very pleasantly surprised and I am looking forward to adding more shades to my collection. You cannot put a price on a decent long-lasting lipstick and the fact it costs less than a tenner is just mind-blowing.

Don't forget the 14th of February is just behind the corner so it's just about the time to look for the perfect Valentine's day gift for your partner. Notino offers 10% to 15% off your Valentine's day order so don't miss out.
