La Vie Est Belle Elixir: The Raspberry Dream I Didn’t Know I Needed

* AD - this post was written in collaboration with Notino.co.uk

The past year and a half has clearly been all about giving our favourite perfumes a berry twist. I’m not entirely sure why berries are suddenly everywhere, but I’m absolutely here for it. I can pretend all day that I’m a vanilla girl or an Arabic-perfume girl or whatever-scent girl… but juicy berries will always have my heart.

As much as I enjoy the original La Vie Est Belle, it’s never been a fragrance I’d feel the need to repurchase the second I run out. It’s lovely—just not a signature scent for me. The Elixir version, however, is a completely different story. It shares the same iconic bottle shape as the OG, but the deep red juice inside gives you a hint of what’s waiting.

And honestly? The scent is nothing like the original. I’m genuinely surprised Lancôme didn’t launch this as an entirely new perfume. It opens with the most authentic raspberry note—rich, juicy, and vibrant—that clings to the skin for hours. As it develops, soft florals and a warm cedarwood base start to peek through, giving it depth and a slightly more mature character.

The longevity is impressive, and there’s something about it that feels like a nostalgic slice of summer wrapped perfectly for winter. It smells like frosted raspberries—cold, sweet, and sparkling—and it’s easily the most raspberry-forward fragrance I’ve tried so far.

This might just be one of my favourite launches of the year and definitely a fragrance worth watching for in Black Friday deals. If you’ve been craving a scent that feels both cozy and vibrant, this one is absolutely worth sampling. Whether you’re new to raspberry-heavy fragrances or already obsessed with them like I am, La Vie Est Belle Elixir delivers something that feels familiar yet exciting. It’s the kind of perfume that makes you want to keep sniffing your wrist—and trust me, you will.

Lancome: Lash Idole Eyeliner Review

* AD - This product was gifted to me for a review

A while ago, I reviewed the now well-established mascara Lash Idole from Lancome. I remember I liked it a lot but since then I have found a better high-end option (namely Lash Clash from YSL). The Idole family has been recently expanded and the eyeliners from this collection entered the scene. I am on a hunt for a decent brown eyeliner and since I had a positive experience trying the Lash Idole mascara, I decided to try the Lash Idole Ultra Precise Waterproof Liner in 02 Matte Syrup Brown.

The packaging is gorgeous. I am rarely paying attention to the packaging of eyeliner but the Lancome Idole collection is something else. The combination of rose gold and brown with black is so elegant and it makes the product look very expensive.

The eyeliner is well-pigmented for a brown pen. The colour is lighter brown, unlike many other brown eyeliners that are nearly black. The tip is not as precise as I would like it to be but it still swipes across the lid easily.

It is sweatproof and it stays on the whole day but I would not say it is waterproof. I am not too mad about it though, if it can stay on the whole day without smudging, I can get past the fact that it will not survive any underwater activities (since there are so many lol). Any standard makeup remover can remove this eyeliner without any issues.

It is difficult to find good brown eyeliner. I think we achieved a good standard for the black eyeliners but the brown ones are not quite there yet. This eyeliner is definitely one of the best brown eyeliners I have tried, however, seeing how good the black eyeliners are, I believe there is room for improvement on the front of longevity. I had this eyeliner for about three weeks and I can feel it drying out. For any reason, this is a common denominator for all of the brown liners I had tried. I think it will give me another week or two but do not expect it to last for months. So far, this is the longest a brown eyeliner lasted me so that's a win. Don’t get me wrong, I this is one of the best brown eyeliners I have ever had, I just want to make you aware that the bar for brown eyeliners is not as as high compared to black ones.

I would really like to try the Lash Idole Liner in black colour. I read many reviews of the black version and it seems amazing. If ever get to it, I will report back.

Lancome: L'Absolu Mademoiselle Shine - Review

AD - Gifted for a review

Spring has finally arrived… hopefully (well it’s raining in Edinburgh at all times this week but at least the days are longer). Not only it is getting warmer which means the dress season is upon us, but my Paris trip also is literally just behind the corner and to celebrate this occasion, I will review a stunning lipstick from Lancome, a luxury brand originating in France.

The L’Absolu Mademoiselle Shine in a shade 368 Mademoiselle Smiles is the newest member of my lipstick collection family. The shade is gorgeous. The dark pink catches everyone’s eye but it is less aggressive than red shades.

The lipstick offer cream and a glossy finish. It has a consistency of a lip balm but the pigment is as rich as in lipstick. The lipstick is nourishing and hydrating and it sits nicely on the lips. For a creamy lipstick, it lasts for a long time but it needs to be topped up after a drink or a bite.

This lipstick collection is around for a while now, since 2019 if I am not mistaken, however, I think due to the popularity of the matte makeup, it was not given the recognition this lipstick definitely deserves. However, I believe the time of glory for L’absolu Mademoiselle Shine is just behind the corner. I think this lipstick aligns well with the glowy trends of this season

This lipstick is available in 23 shades ranging from nude to pink. I love the shade I picked as I usually wear a pink lipstick of a similar shade around this time of the year and I will consider buying myself a nude shade as well. I am yet to fully appreciate the charm of glosses so this balmy lipstick seems like a perfect compromise to me. However, keep in mind, that this lipstick is nothing for ultra-matte long-lasting formula lovers.

Lancome: La Vie Est Belle Soleil Cristal

AD - Gifted for review.

Without a doubt, La Vie Est Belle is one of the most popular perfume collections out there and it is still growing. I must admit, Lancome's original La Vie Est Belle EDP is not my cup of tea. On the other hand, I really like the smell of most of the other versions of this perfume. My favourite one is the La Vie Est Belle Soleil Cristal.

Lancome: Lash Idole - review

As much as I try to avoid thinking about the pandemic, the impact of the situation on every aspect of our lives is undeniable. Even makeup trends are affected. For obvious reason, we are switching from full-face makeup to natural no-makeup makeup looks and thanks to face masks the main focus is the eyes. That’s probably why the makeup industry is currently living through the golden age of mascaras. You know well that I mostly prefer drugstore mascaras and my go-to brand is L’oreal, however, I am no stranger to high-end products either.

PERFECT FOUNDATION FOR DRY SKIN

* Gifted for review

It's been a while since we had a makeup review on this website so today we will take a look at the Skin Feels Good hydrating foundation from Lancome. As a person with dry skin, I find it difficult to find a foundation that would not dry my skin out and I tend to rely on hydrating creams and primers a lot so I was very excited to try a foundation that promises whole day hydration and dewy finish.

LANCOME: HYDRA ZEN

* Ad / Gifted. Thank you Notino.co.uk

I love skincare more than I love makeup and as a fairly experienced skincare lover, I know very well, that Lancome is one of the best skincare brands out there. Last time I tried a small pot of the Vissionaire cream which I absolutely loved and if it did not cost nearly £70, I would buy a full sized version. Today, I am gonna talk about two products from Hydra Zen collection that is designed to moisturise dry skin.

MAKEUP INSPIRATION: LOOK WHAT YOU MADE ME DO │ CZ&EN

Hello, everyone. Today I have decided to write very quick and spontaneous post dedicated to the new Taylor Swift video. Ok, I know the song is a bit sh*t however the video is absolutely brilliant. I think it is a good comeback at those ones who cannot shut up and mind their own business(why cannot they, for example, catch up with their basic education instead of bitching at the fellow artists because asking whether math is related to science is rather embarrassing). I found myself in a very similar situation(however not with millions of whitenesses and paparazzi behind my back) and it was very frustrating to be questioned on everything without being given the chance to actually answer and share my side of the story.

TEINT IDOLE ULTRA WEAR BY LANCOME │ CZ&EN

Today I will introduce you to my brand new foundation Teint Idole Ultra Wear by Lancome. I have been looking at this product for a while and I finally got some balls(and money) to actually buy it. Next week I will write about another foundation of mine, DoubleWear by Estee Lauder and later on I will compare those two to each other.

Teint Idole Ultra Wear

There has been loads of fuss lately around this foundation because it has been relaunched and now you can buy it in a whole range of forty shades which is pretty decent if you would ask me. I actually matched with two shades so I am sure everyone will be able to find their match. The price is high as you can expect from the brand such as Lancome - it's 32£.
When it comes to the whole packaging, I am quite happy with it since I love foundations in glass bottles and also, this foundation has a pump because there is nothing more annoying than a foundation with no applicator(Dear Estee Lauder, you know I am talking about you).

This foundation has a full coverage and it is really easy to apply(particularly with brushes). I feel like this foundation is sort of adjusting to your face undertone which is really good. This product is really runny(fluid? I am not sure, please let me know, my boyfriend is at work) so I was quite worried that its coverage is not going to be as great as promised but as I found out, its coverage is perfectly fine. However, if you need to cover some spots, you would need a corrector and concealer. The same with dark circles. It lasts pretty much a whole day with setting spray and I think it will last at least 8 hours without it too. The makeup with this foundation looks very natural and you can easily just put this foundation and go outside your house without looking questionable. The only issue is that it does not really collaborate with my other products I used to use such as contouring palette by NYX(powdered).

I am definitely pleased. Only thing I do not know is how long does one bottle last for. I am used to having one bottle for three months and longer so let's hope I will not be disappointed.

A co vy na to? Máte s Lancome nějaké zkušenosti?

What do you think? Have you ever tried this foundation before?
