My way parfum: Review

AD - This product was gifted to me for a review

Hi barbie! I apologise I could not resist to start this post differently given we are going to be talking about yet another semi-pink perfume in my collection. Do you remember that a while ago, I have reviewed then one of the newest and hottest arrival of that season, the iconic My Way from Armani? Well, today we will be looking at this perfume’s sister called My Way Parfum that I got from Notino during their Summer Black Friday sale. It has entered the market fairly recently and its face is popular actress Sydney Sweeney.

I am a huge fan of Armani perfumes and My Way isn’t an exemption so I wanted to try the new version too. It comes in the same style of glass bottle as other members of My Way family but the bottle is coloured in dark blue which creates a nice mix of pink, blue and purple. Compared to the original My Way, this bottle is more eyecatching in my opinion. You can get it in 30ml, 50ml or 90ml bottle including 100ml refill. I really like the idea of refilling the perfume bottle. I usually go for the smallest bottle available so I can fit it into my handbag easily but then I run out quickly and need to buy a new one which creates unnecessary waste of packaging.

The original My way is very sweet, floral and feminine (as most of the Giorgio Armani perfumes). The Parfum version is moreless the same with more spice to it which makes it slightly heavier. Not too much though, I am still comfortable wearing it during the day (I just don’t bathe in it as much as I usually do with some other perfumes). There is a less of the fruitiness compared to the original and more of the woodyness.

I had the chance to try all of the My Way perfumes and I think each of them matches one season. The original is great for Summer, the My Way Intense would be my go-to for autumn, My Way Parfum is a winter scent and My Way Floral is just perfect for spring. Now, you may ask why would I wear My Way Parfum in the middle of the summer. The reason is that I live in Scotland and we do not do summers here and therefore I wear heavier perfumes all year long.

One thing to note, despite the name My Way Parfum suggests higher concentration, this is not the case. It is still eau de parfum but even then I would say it lasts a bit longer that original My Way (and My way stays on for ages).

A few years ago, My Way Parfum would not be for me but I have become a fan of the muskier scents over the pst couple of years so I definitely prefer this version over the original. It smells more seductive and less girly.
