ELEMIS PRO-RADIANCE CREAM CLEANSER - REVIEW

AD - gifted

Happy new year! After a considerably long and well-deserved break, I am back on track with my beauty journey. I have so many plans for this year and I am excited about all the great opportunities this year will hopefully offer. Before we move onto the new arrivals from 2021, I would like to share my thoughts about Pro-Radiance Cream Cleanser from Elemis I was gifted a while ago.

It's been over a year since double skin cleansing became part of my everyday skincare routine. I use a cleanser to remove my makeup at the end of the day and then I wash my face with a gel or a foam. Double cleansing has been the best thing I could have done for my skin.

Two months ago, I was gifted beautiful skincare set from Elemis that contained a cream-based cleanser. Until then, I did no know there are other cleansers than the oil-based ones so it was a pleasant surprise. I always prefer a cream over oil in skincare despite having dry skin so I was hoping this could be my new number one cleanser.

I've got the Pro-radiance cream cleanser in 200 ml tube. It is recommended for normal-to-dry skin so it suits me perfectly but considering you will wash it off with a cloth soaked in warm water, I think any skin type is fine.  It contains shea butter, lavender oil, Ylang Ylang flower oil, moringa extract and acai fruit extract. The cream is supposed to remove any makeup and dirt from the skin, purify, defend and moisturise.

The use is simple. Massage the cream into the skin and leave it for a minute until the cream is warmed up. Then remove it with a cloth damped in the warm-ish water. When removing the cleanser, you will be able to remove makeup and dirt with it.

I really enjoyed using this cleanser. It is scented but the scent is mild and beautiful. It turns my night routine into a small spa session. My skin feels nourished after every use. When it comes to makeup removal, it works very well although the eye area usually requires a touch up after. The cream struggles with mascara (I don't use waterproof mascaras) and leaves residues which I have to remove using either oil or eye makeup remover.

As much as I really appreciate this is a cream-based cleanser and I like it very much, my number one is still Emma Hardie's Moringa Cleansing balm and that's just because it gets rid of all eye makeup too. If this cleanser had no issue with mascaras, this would be my number one - as I said cream is always a winner for me over an oil.
