This may come as an incredible shock to you but I love french skincare and makeup (hopefully you can sense the sarcasm as this cannot be a surprise to anyone lol). Nuxe is one of the brands I do not use all the time but I do circle back to it from time to time. I do like their products, the iconic oil scent is just amazing and their skincare is actually very decent without being too expensive.
Although I do have some great skin cleansers on my list, I am still yet to find the ultimate favourite and therefore I am still exploring my options. I have not tried any cleansers from Nuxe so I decided to give the Reve de Miel gentle face cleanser with honey a go.
The gel comes in a 200 ml bottle with a pump. I usually use two pumps to cover my face and neck but I think one and a half are sufficient enough (i just like to cover my bases). It does foam to some extent but not too much. It would usually drive me crazy but because this cleansing gel is thick, it spreads across the whole face when met with water and it feels like I am cleansing my skin. My skin feels clean afterwards as well so I am happy enough.
This cleansing gel is made for dry skin. It does not dry the face out at all, moreover, it leaves it nourished to the touch. I don’t think I have ever had a cleanser that would do that.
The one thing that puts me off this gel slightly is the strong scent. I am not too bothered by perfume in products as my skin is not too sensitive. This one is just very strong. It smells like flowers and sweets and it can be overwhelming. At this point, I got used to it but initially, my nose struggled.
Overall, not bad. If it was not for the scent, it could be easily in my top5.
While browsing through the Nuxe collections, I noticed there are loads of good value gift sets from this brand. I really like the body oils from Nuxe so I could not resist when I saw the Huile Prodigieuse Trio Bauble set. It contains three 10ml bottles of Huile Prodigieuse, Huile Prodigieuse Florale and Huile Prodigieuse Or. I tried the original version and the glitter Or version and I loved them both. The set is cute and does not cost much so this is a small tip from me what to buy on Black Friday.
