NEW IN: THE GIFT OF RADIANCE FROM ELEMIS - FIRST IMPRESSION

AD - Gifted by Notino.co.uk <3

Have you heard of Elemis? I am sure most of you have. Elemis is a very popular British skincare brand founded more than 30 years ago in London. Elemis is a part of many spas and wellness centres - this is how I heard of it for the first time. Ages ago I had a fantastic facial and the beautician was using Elemis products. I have not tried many of their products since but it was always on the back of my mind.

With the introduction of many amazing Christmas gift sets, I knew it is my time to find some favourites by trying many products at a reasonable price - oh God, I love Christmas... and, of course, Black Friday makeup and beauty deals. I picked The Gift of Radiance gift set because it seemed it is the most suitable for my skin type.

The set contains Pro-Radiance Cream Cleanser (200 ml), Hydra-Balance Day Cream (50 ml), Soothing Apricot Toner (50 ml) and Papaya Enzyme Peel (15 ml). It works out so much cheaper than buying these products individually. The cleanser with the day cream together cost more when bought individually than this gift set so you will get your money worth.

Pro-Radiance Cream Cleanser

This was the biggest surprise of the whole set. I expected this to be a foamy cleanser that I would use to wash my face but it actually turned out to be a cream cleanser for makeup removal. It is pretty much the same as the oil-based cleansing balms (you heard me talking about Emma Hardie's Moringa balm which I love) but It is a better option for those who are not thrilled by oil products. It contains Moringa, Acai and Ylang Ylang and it is ideal for normal to dry skin. The direction for use is simple - massage the cream to your face and leave it on for a minute. It will help to dissolve the makeup. Then you can remove the cream using a wet cloth. The whole experience is very wellness-like.

First Impression: I should not be saying this as I have not been using this product for too long and this is just a first impression (so I can still have a bad reaction and change my mind) but I already love it and I will be repurchasing. The cream works so much better for my skin compared to the oil-based cleansers and it is as good for double cleanse and makeup removal. I do not fall for the nice scent trap anymore but in this case, I cannot help it. It smells so dreamy and every time I use it I feel like I am at a luxurious spa.

Hydra-Balance Day Cream

This cream is rich in anti-oxidants and it is super light. The packaging says it suitable for combination skin and I would probably agree.
First Impression: I have been using it for two weeks now, and I would say the cream hydrates very well, but the moisture is on the lighter side, so it seems a bit weaker for my dry-ish skin. However, I am sure once I blend in some good serum or even add some facial oil, it will be ok. If not, I cannot be too mad, the cream is not made to fit my skin type haha.

Soothing Apricot Toner

This is one of the most popular products from Elemis. It is supposed to have calming properties and helps maintain skin's natural pH level. Elemis claims this toner is suitable for sensitive skin, however, I am not sure if I agree. Apricot toner does not contain alcohol, which is good, however, it has a quite strong scent and perfume is pretty high on the ingredient list.
First Impression: I am not sure whether I will like it or not. After two weeks I still have very neutral feelings towards this toner so you will have to wait for the actual review once I have tested this product enough.

Papaya Enzyme Peel

This is another very popular product. The papaya enzyme peel is a rinse-off chemical exfoliator. It has a much creamier structure compared to other enzyme exfoliators and you could nearly mistake it for an ordinary facial cream. Be very careful not to do so, because this exfoliator has to be rinsed off after 10 minutes.
First Impression: This is just a small sample and I already nearly run out. I must say I am tempted to get myself a full-sized bottle because it left my skin really soft and radiant.
